Welcome to the McLaughlin Public School
Music Department website!
The McLaughlin Public School is in its third year of rebuilding its music program. With the help and support of parents, teachers and the community, the music program will once again be a thriving and vital part of the school curriculum.
The music program consists of two preschool classes, fourteen elementary general music classes, a fifth grade band, a middle school (6 - 8) band, a middle school (6 - 8) choir, a high school music appreciation class, a high school choir and a high school band .
Middle school and high school students are able to sign up for guitar lessons this year.
Each ensemble allows the students an opportunity to grow musically and otherwise through performance in music. It is our goal to create well-rounded individuals through a study of music and music performance, and to foster life long learning while reinforcing positive life skills.
